In the words of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Culture is Samskara which consists of Sadguna (good character), Sadachara (good behaviour) and Sadbhavana (good feelings). For a person to be deemed educated, his personal conduct and social behaviour should be good. An educated person should have concern for the welfare of all beings - Sarva Bhutha Hite Ratah. Therefore, we should promote education that imbibes this culture, which alone would result in creating selfless leaders with cultivated intellect, compassionate heart and competent hands. This University in its womb will foster, nurture and protect the much needed selflessness. Sri Narayan Bhat had a grand vision for the emancipation of his countrymen. He wanted to build a missionary organization under the name of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. On the 6th January 1976, Sri Narayan Bhat along with with some of his loyal servitors submitted to Baba the desire to offer Loka Seva Vrinda along with its group of educational institutions to Him. Baba lovingly accepted.

Sri Madhusudan Sai is leading the mission of spirituality and service at Sathya Sai Grama, that was started by a set of dedicated volunteers under the direct guidance of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, almost four decades ago. Walking in the footsteps of Baba, Sri Madhusudan Sai is furthering Baba’s mission by establishing various humanitarian service projects across 30 countries and counting.

Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence is providing a platform of learning that is a perfect blend of ancient wisdom of our Indian culture (called para vidya) and modern knowledge of realistic world (apara Vidya). Through this approach, I have understood my true potency, my character is blossoming to the fullest, for which I am ever grateful.
Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence is providing free education for all its students. I feel it is a privilege to be a part of this unique University. It is teaching me both the Para Vidya (spiritual knowledge) and Apara Vidya (secular knowledge). This has helped me to be balanced in my life and I can see a better version of myself now.
